00:00:17 - 00:20:23
Speaker 1
What's up, everybody? How you doing? I'm Greg Olsen and I have partnered up with Truist and they've allowed me to custom make my own day of community giving. So we are starting where our hearts are, Levine Children's Hospital the HEARTest Yard Congenital Heart Center. It's a project that my wife and I are so passionate about, so we figured no better place to start our day of giving than right here.
00:21:04 - 00:36:20
Speaker 1
So now we're going to give you guys a behind the scenes tour of this incredible facility, but more importantly, these incredible health care providers that allow us to continue to elevate the care for our heart families. Hi, how are you? You guys like cupcakes? You can have as many as you want. You get a good look and hear this.
00:36:20 - 00:57:18
Speaker 1
This is a really cool space. We didn't want this to feel like for these young kids that they were really coming to a doctor's office, that they were coming to a place that was here to help them, give them a new chance at lives. All right. So our next stop today on our truest day of giving around the community, we're going to come to a place that's very special to my family called JJ's Red Hots.
57:18 - 01:15:04
Speaker 1
And the story behind this is when we were right behind here is the children's hospital where we just came from. Every time T.J. was in the hospital, having a surgery, having a procedure, and we had time to kill. My wife and I, our family members, we would walk here. It means a lot to our family, brought us great comfort in some tough times.
01:15:04 - 01:31:12
Speaker 1
And we're going to come hang out with the team and JJ and he's going, Well, yeah, now you guys are the best. You guys are a great part of the community. Thanks for this. Everyone loves supporting you guys affect you. That's important. They appreciate you, man. Greg Awesome. Table 88, right? How's my form? Is my form pretty good.
01:31:12 - 01:52:10
Speaker 1
And then you come in like this. Well done. All right, so we just left the Truist branch Operation Hope from Harold learned a little about his journey, a little bit about his work in the community with financial literacy and just overall wellness. And now we have a really big tree. We are going to Green Brothers Juice and we are going to surprise a young boy named Adin.
01:52:12 - 02:16:13
Speaker 1
My son, T.J., has given his gift forward and he is going to, in essence, give his wish to Adin. So we're fired up for this. This should be pretty special. Hey, guys. How we doing? All How do you think you would feel if I told you that you were going to go to the Super Bowl this year? Would that be something you'd be interested in?
02:16:21 - 02:25:10
Speaker 1
Yeah. All right, well, we have a special. We partnered up with Truist and our friends at Make-A-Wish. T.J., tell them how we're doing the wish. Tell them what we're doing.
02:25:10 - 02:31:09
Speaker 2
So I'm going to give my Make-A-Wish that now granted to you. So you can go to the Super Bowl this year.
02:31:10 - 03:06:01
Speaker 1
To have to be able to pay that Make-A-Wish forward with T.J. there, with my family, my wife Kara and our other two kids, Tate and Talbot, that was pretty special. And to see just how much it meant to Aiden, everything him and his family have been through this past year was was pretty special. So our last stop. Last but certainly not least, we are going to Eastway Middle School and we are surprising their middle school football team.
03:06:07 - 03:17:13
Speaker 1
They haven't got new uniforms here at Eastway Middle. They said in probably over a decade we going to outfit their middle school team with all new equipment, all new uniforms and gear, and we're pretty excited about it.
03:17:13 - 03:21:03
Speaker 3
So let's go do it. I want to tell you a little.
03:21:03 - 03:39:02
Speaker 1
Something about what we got going on. remember I told you I had a special guest. We had a big announcement to make. The one thing I'm going to leave you guys with, one thing we said about how you look on the field, right? It's confidence builds a sense of pride. I mean, I play it this way and we are it take pride in how we carry ourselves, pride in how we look.
03:39:12 - 03:59:18
Speaker 1
Playing on this team means something. You got to look good, right? Coach show em, hold each other accountable, take care of each other and build that culture that we're in. That jersey means something. Okay, I'll tell you what. You're going to look great. Now you got to go play. All right. Appreciate you guys. Thank you. Yeah, thank you, guys.
04:00:02 - 04:00:20
Speaker 1
Appreciate you, man.
04:00:23 - 04:07:11
Speaker 4
Yeah. See someone outside of our school. See this special place that it is? It's pretty incredible.
04:07:16 - 04:18:19
Speaker 3
I mean, everything. I mean, I'm a guy that is in the community. I deal with a lot of kids out in the community. I work with a lot of kids. It means everything to these kids and it means everything to me and the coaching staff as well.
04:19:04 - 04:31:22
Speaker 1
All right. Well, thank you guys so much. That's a wrap of our community day of Giving. Thank you so much to Truist for allowing us the opportunity to go out into the community here in Charlotte. Touched so many of the people and so many of the places that are near and dear to our hearts. So thank you guys so much.
04:31:22 - 04:34:09
Speaker 5
This was a blast.
