Truist Cash Reserve is an unsecured, revolving line of credit that can help you prevent declined transactions, overdraft fees, and cover emergencies. Once you’re eligible and enrolled, you can get cash immediately from your Cash Reserve account by making an advance. This can be really useful when you have a low account balance and need to cover an upcoming expense.

It’s pretty simple, actually. Within online banking, eligible clients will see the Cash Reserve option under Accounts. (If you’re not eligible, you won’t see this option and will need to check back later for eligibility.) Then you’ll just select Manage my account to complete enrollment.

Once you enroll, you’ll have a line of credit of up to $750Disclosure 5. This is different from overdraft coverage in that money doesn’t automatically move into your checking account. You have to move cash yourself when you want or need it. To do so, simply sign in to online banking and make the advance. You’ll pay back your Cash Reserve in installments over the next four months.

All advances are subject to an annual percentage rate (APR) of 18%. There’s no prepayment or late fee charged.

No. It’s a revolving line of credit based on your checking account history, not your personal credit. So there’s no credit check with credit bureaus when you open an account. Nice.
